We integrate Brand Owners who have an online store to the marketplaces they sell via Drop on, including The Iconic, Hard To Find and other Shopify stores.
How does your business make money?
We make a subscription fee. Historically there are a few different types of plans that customers have chosen. Now there are only 2 plans on offer. A PAYG offer where they pay $2 for every order processed (very lucrative) or an unlimited account for $199 a month.
Why should someone buy this business?
Its an established business filling a very sort after need. The app saves a business the equivalent of a full-time employee of manual work when selling on these marketplaces. Once a customer integrates with the app, they generally do no leave unless they stop selling on the platform. My first customer is still with me since the beginning 4 years ago.
You will make back your investment in no time at all doing little to no work on the app as it stands.
At the moment the only tasks required are to monitor the log a couple of times a day and to provide some customer support. For the last 3 months, I have got approx 3 emails a month and generally, these are from new customers who need help with their setup. Once set up, a customer generally doesn't need to contact us.
Note, there is a transitional period in the financials where we swapped from Stripe to Shopify payments. The app provides both options now.
Why are you selling this business?I have another app I am apart of providing Sales and Business Development. This is requiring my full attention and I have not been able to grow IDA Connect with marketing and new features. I decided to hand over this great opportunity to someone else, who can grow IDA Connect.
