Business Description
Podcast Rocket is a Productized Services Company, aiding clients in the technical aspects of Podcast Production including Audio Mixing & Mastering, Editing, Shownotes Writing, Transcription, and Backend Admin Support.
How does your business make money?
Revenue is generated primarily through Podcast Post-Production. This includes Audio Mixing & Mastering, Editing, Shownotes Writing, Transcription, and Backend Admin Support.
Why should someone buy this business?
**Revenue:
Due to the nature of the model, this service is mostly recurring. Stable MRR accounts for 75% of revenue, with One-Off and Repeat Orders making up the difference.
(NOTE: There is a dip in sales on the P&L for July+August. This is due to taking a Stripe Cash Advance, which withholds 17.6% of revenue until the principle is paid off).
**Operations:
We have streamlined operations to the point of only needing one contractor to handle the day-to-day fulfillment of services. Only Owner-Operator tasks to manage the business take roughly 1-2 hours per day on average and involve:
- Answering Customer Questions / Sales Inquiries.
- Paying Employee or Contractors
- Bookkeeping
(As an example, an injury in May 2019 kept me bedridden for a month and a half. Despite this, I didn't do any work inside the business except for some admin work)
Why are you selling this business?
After over two years of building this business, I believe it's time for me to pass the torch and do something I'd be more passionate about.
In addition I'll be focusing more energy on a new business, and will need the mental focus and capital resources to pour into this venture.
