Estalee builds classroom engagement tools for the higher education. We currently offer two products, Attendee for Attendance, and HandsDown for in-class Question and Answer.
How does your business make money?
Estalee is not profitable, but has great potential to be. We currently have plans to introduce a monthly subscription plan for Students and Professors.
Why should someone buy this business?
Estalee has nearly one thousand users who have and are currently using the platform to take attendance. It is one of the most easy to use, intuitive, and highly feature rich attendance platforms available. Adding 30 new users is as easy as getting one professor to signup and use it with their courses. As a result, the bigger the classroom, the greater the potential to increase revenue.
With the HandsDown feature, it will be easily monetizable with abundance of Ad real estate available.
Estalee is name to remember! It is catchy, beautiful, and has roots in Spanish, Portuguese, Cape Verdean, and American cultures. Buying Estalee will give you a domain name like no other.
We also have $20,000 in Google Cloud Credit provided by the Google Cloud program for startups, that is available until July 2020. We are looking for someone ready to move the existing services over and take full advantage of this opportunity.
Why are you selling this business?We see a lot of potential with Estalee, but at the same time we lack the resources to take advantage of this potential. For example, we want to acquire new users but with very little time to spread amongst development and marketing it has become something that is hard to do. We also plan to introduce a subscription service, but due to working full-time as a Software Engineer, and working on existing features, this has become a significant bottleneck. Lastly, with the addition of new users and increased usage, the platform has become more expensive to maintain, especially with no revenue coming in. We currently spend around $50 a month on Digital Ocean to keep the servers up, but in reality we need around $120 a month if not more. We would like to move over to Google Cloud because of the credits we have, but this will cause significant disruption since the site is actively being used. We hope to pass Estalee to a team ready to help it reach maximum potential.
