Business Description

I Design Sound (idesignsound.com) is a 10+ year old music blog reviewing music production software and hardware.

It was started by a passionate music production and has grown to become a major source of industry news, reviews, and tutorials.

The revenue fluctuates a bit, reaching its peak during November and December. During November 2019 and December 2019, the site made  $743,97  and  $984,20.
I am available to make the transfer within a day or two of the purchase.

Quick Wins for new owner:

  • Stop all Adwords campaigns. I’ve used this site as a guinea pig for testing adwords campaigns and honestly it didn't go that well. For the best VST article I've spent about 1 035$ and made about 625$, for the rent to own page, I spent 457$ to make 371$.

  • Link building: I also don't have any SOPs in place for link building. There are lots of untapped link opportunities, such as:
      - Reviewing gear and software and asking for a link back
      - Launching a free software/plugin in partnership with a developer/label and do a PR campaign based off that
      - Grey hat techniques: I used to have a 301 re-direct in place, but then I took it out as I wanted to keep the link profile clean. Also no PBNs, so if you're into this sort of stuff, this site could would be great for that.

  • Technical SEO/ Site structure: The site has a lot of pages and in the past its had issues of indexing too many pages (pictures, categories, tags, the usual) did a quick fix but probably still work to be done there. Page speed and meta tags could be optimised. SILO structure not implemented.
