Business Description

Leadme works with B2B sales and marketting teams to make the most of tradeshows, using a novel offline-capable technology for lead capture on the tradeshow floor. Leadme's offering includes iOS and Android mobile capture applications, and bluetooth enabled wristbands that automatically identify the interactions of individuals through their handshakes. Leadme also offers a customizable analytics portal and marketing automation tool through the web.

How does your business make money?

A customer pays a one-time fee to use Leadme technology at their event. Customers may also choose to rent tablets or wristbands. Ongoing use of the marketing automation tools and analytics portal is optional, and comes with a cost proportional to the amount of lead data stored long-term in Leadme's cloud database.

Why should someone buy this business?

The technology has been built and its value has been validated. Leadme's technology has been successfully used by paying customers Unitron Canada and eZmax Solutions Inc. in two B2B tradeshows.

How can the future owner improve this business?

The challenge of growing Leadme is in infiltrating larger tradeshows. While Leadme has had success operating in relatively small business events, the larger events tend to have their lists preferred partners that they like to work with. Earning the respect of larger event organizers through reputation building will be necessary in order to make the older and more ingrained companies move aside and make room for innovation.

Why are you selling this business?

The business is changing direction, as two co-founders have decided to transition to more stable 9-5 jobs. I do not have the capacity to run this entire startup on my own, but put a lot of effort into the development of the technology and so would love to see it live on.
