We provide design & development services for Shopify e-commerce Stores. The model is to get customers in with low price store fixes and edits and then upsell them on full Shopify Store builds.

I was running a Google Shopping Agency for Shopify Stores and in calls with clients, I kept noticing that they would ask us if we knew any Shopify developers who could do a quick fix on their store (such as move a button around)...Or that they were thinking about moving to a new Shopify and if we knew anyone who could help build them a new store. And we kept referring this type of work over and over again other outside developers or agencies.
Until one day I thought "Why don't we just create a separate development agency and find great Shopify developers to fulfil the work so we could add another revenue stream to our business?"
And so we created Store Mechanics. And in the first 30 days, we did $7,982.76 in services with 64% net margin. This is a great market to provide services to because there are 500,000 active stores running on Shopify and they ALL need development and design work is done on their Shopify Store.
How can the future owner improve this business?
Continue to partner with other agencies to fulfil the work, or focus on lead generation through Facebook.
Why are you selling this business?I have another e-Commerce business that is growing fast and is taking up the bulk of my time. The last month and a half I have been spending less than 1 hour per week on this business.
