We make our own proprietary blends of chai that are more flavourful than others on the market. We buy whole spices, grind, mix and package them in small batches for freshness.
How does your business make money?
We make money by wholesaling to local cafe's and shops as well as sell on our website and Amazon FBA. The business is seasonal with its busiest months being Sep-Apr.
Why should someone buy this business?
This business requires very little time to operate (10 hours per month) to continue its current trajectory. The products are unique and the brand is recognizable and all it needs is extra attention. It's always Amazon's choice for the KW "spicy chai tea" and 95% or more of the sales are made organically among all channels. Our own advertising costs are some minor Amazon PPC.
How can the future owner improve this business?
This business can grow if someone has the time to increase SKU's and increase distribution channels. Participating in food exhibitions and markets will greatly help the company grow. Also, if someone has the resources to increase ad spend then there will be more room for growth.
Why are you selling this business?I started this company at the beginning of 2017 because I happened to make a product that people loved in a pop-up cafe. I sold the first few packages and people kept coming back. In all honesty, chai-tea is not my passion and I find it difficult to embody it and talk about it all day at exhibitions. This business needs someone passionate about food and/or tea to inject some energy into it.

About the Seller
I'm a BCOM graduate and aspiring entrepreneur. This is the first business I've run and I've learned a lot along the way and I also learned that there are other ventures that make can be more fulfilling for me. It's hard to let go of something I started from scratch but at the same time I don't have enough time and energy to run it anymore. I hope the next owner will be able to take advantage of its full potential.
