We make money by receiving orders online through our website TheBarCartist.com. Then, we send the orders to our drop shipping suppliers and they ship the product to the end customer. The difference between the price we sell the product for online and the cost of the product is how the business makes money.

Why should someone buy this business?

I believe it would make the perfect business for someone who is an aspiring Instagram influencer and has an eye for design. We have already paid for professional branding for The Bar Cartist that cost >$2,000 (which looks amazing in my opinion).
The website is already established in the Google search engine. We currently rank 2nd on Google for the keyword "bar cart essentials" and receive traffic from various other keywords. There is tremendous ability for growth with more SEO and better “blogger” content. We think that posting articles related to bar carts/barware/home design could easily increase organic traffic to the website.
We have already built up an Instagram following and have >1,110 followers. This could be scaled by someone who posts regularly and grows the following. The market for home décor on Instagram is HUGE and I believe sales could be increased massively with a solid Instagram/Facebook ads campaign. We also have an email list with ~500 subscribers.

How can the future owner improve this business?

I believe the best way to improve the business would be to put some time into a great marketing campaign using social media, email, and organic search. Overall, the business just needs someone with some passion and a bit of time to commit to growing a fun online brand.

Why are you selling this business?

My business partner and I purchased the business in January 2018 because we were interested in growing an online brand as a fun side project. It was fun and we learned a lot, but we are selling the business because we now both run a different company that takes up all our time. The Barcartist is a fantastic platform for someone who loves home décor/barware and would like to take on a fun project marketing on social media, email, etc. We have tried to hire a CEO to run the business for us since we think it's such a great concept but haven't found the right person to take on the project.
