Motorvention started in October 2019. The business concept relies on selling high ticket car parts on a Shopify store. The customer base are car enthusiasts in the UK and further afield in Europe. It has over 45,000 products listed on the store with 10,000 of them currently active for sales. (This is for a reason which will be explained below). The types of products on the store range from high quality exhaust systems to performance intercoolers to clutches etc. All products are manufactured by major brand names in the motorsport niche that are sought after by communities of car enthusiasts and vehicle tuners.
Motorvention has an active facebook page of over 3000 likes and a community of over 750 engaging followers on instagram.
It is currently in its early stages since making its appearance in November 2019 and recently it has started to scale with more sales showing great potential to grow exponentially.
How does your business make money?
The business sells it products by using the high ticket drop shipping method. The business generates money by advertising its products mainly on Google shopping and other platforms such as Bing. The website doesnt actually hold any physical products, as with drop shipping it is a business method relies on using suppliers to send the products to customers. Once a sale has been made, the products are purchased from the supplier for a whole sale price with the customers name address given for delivery. The business then makes a profit from the difference in price between the price it is advertised for and the price the product can be bought for from a supplier. The profit margin of each product is mostly from 20-30% and some at 10% to 15%.
If you are not familiar with the drop shipping method it would not take long to learn and I would be happy to explain further.
Why are you selling this business?
I am selling Motorvention as I don't currently have enough time to dedicate to keep developing it. It has been a pleasure to build over the last few months to witness it starting to generate its first sales and profit. It is in its growth phase with a bright future ahead of it with the right owner.
