Business Description

Started in late 2014 as a hobby project, first customers signed up in mid 2015. The best and most reliable customers have been those who use the provided custom weather alerts for their business uses. Farmers in California use it to know when to provide extra shade & water for their workers. Engineers use it to stay privy to wind conditions on the job. Logistics companies have used it to stay privy to freezing conditions. Building a stronger position in these industries the key I could never unlock, but it is where I have seen the most traction. I could be great for somebody who can take this on as more than a hobby project.
It's been a very hands-off project me for the last couple of years. Revenues have finally begun to slump and it needs somebody with time and experience.

How does your business make money?

Primarily monthly subscriptions. Some have been annual subscriptions.
Currently not running any ads, though I have in the past. (not since April 2019)
Stripe.com is used to handle all subscriptions. Currently making $45.93 revenue/month, or $15.31 per customer. Yes, down to 3 loyal customers, though I do see a couple I need to chase down to update their CC info.
Curiously, Stripe shows an MMR of $95.90.

One PO in January of 2019 was great ($499/yr), but the regulations in that county have changed and they will not be renewing. Shows there is a need out there though.

Why are you selling this business?

This started as a side project when I had zero children. Now I have two kids, and zero time to keep up on this. I took it on largely as a technical challenge and to fill a gap my wife saw in the weather alert services market. Once built I found the prospect of building a customer base and growing revenue very challenging. I hope somebody can put a shine on this and give it wings that I cannot.
