How does your business make money?
Gourmet Wedding Gifts employs both a drop ship model model or in house fulfillment, depending on how much margin the owner wants to take— products are purchased either from a partner who ships directly to the customer. These products are edible, so most drop-shippers can't enter with a product from China to disrupt the business model
If needed inventory can be ordered from another wholesale channel where the COGS are 50% of what the direct to consumer partner charges. To date 90% of orders have been with the DTC partner
Why are you selling this business?
The owner of the business has an opportunity to take control of a much larger business and is looking to focus full time on that. To facilitate the transaction, The buyer is willing to take a seller note for 30% of the transaction.
