LipCalculator (lipcalculator.com) is an affordable business management tool for independent multi-level marketers in the cosmetic industry. It offers functionality beyond that available using spreadsheets. Subscribers receive features such as downline commission and GSV calculation, report generation, order and inventory tracking, business expense tracking, profit and loss summaries, trade tracking, business mileage log and customer list management. Users can input customer orders and track inventory from anywhere using their mobile device. The LipCalculator profit and loss summary provides real-time information about revenue, expenses and profit margin for any selected month or year. The order tracker is linked to USPS to provide live tracking for shipments. Users can also use the mileage log to track business mileage and estimate federal tax deduction. The report generator allows users to view, print and export reports showing revenue, expenses, inventory, mileage and other data.

LipCalculator users can choose between a monthly ($2.99 per month) or annual subscription ($29.99) to use the tool. We currently have 174 active subscribers. Approximately 95% of our current subscribers re-subscribe on a monthly or annual basis.
Why should someone buy this business?
LipCalculator has generated over USD$57,000 in revenue since launching in February 2017. It is a particularly unique tool and there are currently no competitors in this industry. It has features which are tailored to working for a specific multi-level marketing company in the cosmetics industry. In April 2019, the website had 476 unique visitors. I currently spend 1-2 hours per month working on the website, including responding to subscriber questions via email and updating the website when new products are launched by the cosmetic company. I will provide the future owner with a "How-to-Guide" for adding new products.
How can the future owner improve this business?
We secured initial subscribers via word of mouth at events and conferences. The future owner could increase traffic to the website and therefore subscribers using SEO, social media marketing, email marketing and paid advertising. The website could also be used as a framework to create business management tools for additional multi-level marketing companies, beyond cosmetics. For personal reasons, I have been unable to actively market the website. In 2017, we did have over 1800 monthly subscribers however many unsubscribed because they no longer wanted to sell cosmetic products and therefore did not require the tool.
