Business Description

We first launched Indiekicks.com in late 2017 as a general sneaker store, and had some massive months, generating $115,612.49 in revenue. Off the success with our Nurse designs we created MedicApparel in early 2018. We have made $56,357.73 in revenue in our first 11 months with MedicApparel, $8,281.86 was profit. We have built a very strong brand and focused ~$20k AdSpend on prospecting and brand awareness on Facebook.
Combined profit from both stores since October 2017 is $37,102.67.

How does your business make money?

We sell high-quality EVA nurse clogs and other professionally designed print-on-demand products such as sneakers, bags (tote bags and backpacks) and phone cases to individuals in the medical profession. Our “Life Saver” nurse clogs are our flagship product. All products are made in and fulfilled by our manufacturer China. Our customer base is widespread, but the majority of sales come from the US, Italy & Spain.Our customers can also add their name to products using the product customizer app and our virtual assistant (VA) manages updating the graphics. Our VA also processes all orders and handles all customer service enquiries. I currently spend 10-15 minutes per week on the website although advertising campaigns in sale periods can take 1-2 hours a week to manage. The MedicApparel brand is well-established, and all products come packaged in attractive MedicApparel branded boxes. Including IndieKicks is a big bonus for the winning bidder!

MedicApparel is a well-established brand, selling one-of-a-kind products in a niche industry! Our flagship product, the popular ‘Life Saver’ nurse clog is CE-complaint EVA for protection in the workplace and features a 0.3 slip resistance EVA tread for extra traction to meet workplace standards. The designs are very unique, the products are well priced and have good customer reviews. We have developed a large custom Facebook audience and use Facebook and Instagram advertising to drive traffic to the website and generate sales. We also have a strong social media following with 5,636 Facebook followers and 6,056 Instagram followers. We use email marketing to communicate with 3000+ subscribers and collaborate with a team of nurse influencers on Instagram and Youtube to generate content. This is a big opportunity to explore. We received 108,197 unique visitors since launching in May 2018. We have 561 units of clogs available, which will accompany the sale, to the value of $25,239.39.

How can the future owner improve this business?

The future owner could work to improve customer long-term value (LTV) and average order value (AOV) through up-selling and cross-selling as to date we have not explored this avenue. They could also advertise products for sale via Google Shopping or consider opening an Amazon store. Influencer marketing is huge in the nursing industry (some massive accounts from everyday nurses in the US). There is also potential to open/run an EU store and translate to ES or other local EU languages. The future owner may also choose to sell products and wholesale to physical medical goods stores.
