Kontexto's SMS management service allows e-commerce businesses, digital product owners, and online services to easily connect with their current subscribers and customers through SMS. How does your business make money?

During the first 3 months of operation (April-June 2018) Kontexto was monetized by managing the SMS marketing operations and strategy, plus charging customers per SMS message sent.

The management service included: setting up their opt-in funnel, collecting the leads, writing the content for follow-ups and integrating the API.

Since July 2018, Kontexto pivoted to a CPA commission payouts with the brands that we work for. These commissions are calculated from a % revenue share arrangement or a flat fee. Ref P&L.

Why are you selling this business?

For the past 14 years I’ve built many digital assets/products/services and tried to get them earning as much money as possible before either selling them off or just moved on to something I thought would be more fun, or make more money. Kontexto is one of those services that is by far one of the best and most lucrative projects I’ve worked on in a long time. It brings in great revenue and it’s in an ever-growing multiple billion-dollar per year industry. However, it’s not my passion. I need to keep creating to see what really makes me feel like “this is the one!”. A project that I want to dedicate 5+ years of my life to. Kontexto needs a team of people who can put their full attention on it to scale it to the fullest potential. Right now, I’m currently working on a Cosmetic Brand that harnesses the power of Instagram. It has big potential and is where my passion lies.
