How does your business make money?

It is free to start an account and browse matches. If you find a match you would like to message, users then need to subscribe to one of our payment options:
1. $5 per Month
2. $37 per Year
3. $97 one time payment for a lifetime membership

All payments are currently being made through Stripe, but we have used PayPal in the past (on and off) and there are still some subscriptions being paid through there. Assistance will be given to the new owner to set up all of these payment methods. The PayPal subscriptions cannot be transferred to another PayPal account. Current PayPal subscriptions will need to be manually set up by the new owner.

Why should someone buy this business?

This business has been profitable for over 2 years now and is a very consistent earner. We do not market to our email list very often, but when we do, we see an increase in subscribers.

It requires very little time to operate, especially if you have a VA to help you manage the emails as I do.

How can the future owner improve this business?

One idea I had, but never implemented was to allow free users to send one message per day. This would increase the users engagement and have a higher chance of people making connections on the platform for free. I had my developer scope this out and he quoted about $150 to complete this job.
Implement Facebook or Adwords ads to boost the site sign up rate and number of subscribers quickly. You could do this by marketing the site to target specific suburbs and then expand out from there.
Promote special deals to the email list more often. Doing this would certainly increase the sites income easily and quickly.
SEO is a big reason why this site is so passive and so successful. More work on backlinking, content and keyword research, could be done to boost the sites current rankings.
Another thing I wanted to trial was changing the 1 month option, to a 3 (for $15/m) or 6 (for $27/m) month option. I think this would increase the $ per sale quite significantly and still not cost much

Why are you selling this business?

Having run this site since 2016, this is a bitter-sweet moment to let it go. I really like this business, but all good things must come to an end. Truthfully, I don’t think I have unleashed this businesses full potential, and it is my hope that the new owner will be able to do this. My passion for this business is not what it used to be, so I think someone with fresh eyes will be able to take this business to the next level.
