Business Description

The American Mirror is a conservative politics and culture blog. We seek to find stories not yet reported by national news and make them national stories. The site is frequently linked to by the Drudge Report, cable news and talk radio hosts. It is mostly a news aggregation site, so we find videos on YouTube, Twitter, etc., and write something off those or we take several existing sources on a topic and combine them into something new. We are currently publishing 4-6 200-500 word pieces per weekday. 1 or two on the weekend. There are currently 5,595 articles on the site. There are currently two writers on the site: Me and another. I write, review, and publish everything. The other writer drafts posts for review. It takes about 40 hours a week to maintain the site, but could take less.

There has been a slight decline in traffic over the past 12 months. This is due to a number of personal projects have been competing for my time, so the amount of daily postings has declined. Changing social media algorithms have also impacted traffic, but they are starting to rebound.

Why should someone buy this business?

There are several sites like mine, but they often cover what is already being discussed on social media and cable news. I try to find things that no one has covered yet, or find local stories and try to make them national ones. With some investment into a redesign, additional writers, increased social media presence and a diversified traffic base, the site could really take off and increase page views.

Why are you selling this business?

I'm interested in doing something else and allowing someone to take the site to the next level.
